Obituary for ANDREW "ANDY" JOHN MICHALISZYN

Andrew John Michaliszyn, 38, passed away Friday, June 15, 2018 in Conroe, Texas. He is survived by his wife of almost 10 years, Erin Michaliszyn; his twins, Eden Rose, (4) and Jace Turner (4) and daughter, Mary Louise (1), his parents, Joseph H. Michaliszyn and Diane Michaliszyn, his brother Matthew Michaliszyn, Sister-in-law, Latasha Michaliszyn, Niece and Nephew, Madeleine and Edwin, Mother-in-law and Father-in-law, Steve and Cindy Wood and Brother-in-law, Derek Wood.
He was born in New Jersey on November, 2, 1979 and moved to Texas in 1989. He graduated from Kingwood High School in 1997. He was an active member of the Greentree Gators Swim Team, where he set records and went on to coach swimming for the Woodland Hills Wahoos. From there he attended Stephen F. Austin University and was a member of the Delta Delta Delta Fraternity. He completed his Associate’s degree at Kingwood Community College. He met his wife while attending Sam Houston State University and was an avid bowler in Huntsville as a member of the SHSU Men’s Bowling Team where he competed in the 2006 SWIBC Championship Tournament.
Andy was passionate about hunting, cooking crawfish and especially disc golf. He became the President of the North Houston Chain Bangers and was a member of the North Side Chain Gang and Big Daddy Disc Golf. Andy was very involved in coordinating and organizing events for disc golf and was a great diplomat. Andy was very well loved in his disc golf community family.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 22 at McDade Park in Conroe at 4pm. His funeral service will be at McNutt Funeral Home on Saturday, June 23 at 3pm with viewing 30 minutes prior.
The Andy Michaliszyn “McBlahBlahBlah” Disc Golf Benefit will be held on Saturday, July 7 at Spring Valley Golf and Disc Golf Course from 9 a.m to 1 p.m. Please check Facebook for all details.
