Charles “Wayne” Giles, age 73, was born in Conroe, Texas on January 19, 1944. He went to be with the Lord on December 6, 2017 in Montgomery, Texas.
After attending Montgomery High School, Wayne served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He worked many years in land clearing. He most enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and going to the casino. Wayne is survived by his wife, Caroline Giles, of 40 years; his daughter Melissa Freeman and husband Travis Freeman of Montgomery, Texas; son Danny Aucoin of Montgomery Texas; daughter Crystal Sellers and husband Chris Sellers of Conroe, Texas; daughter Marjorie Broussard and husband Cory Broussard of Conroe, Texas; and his grandchildren, Leigh and Jenna Freeman, Mason Giles, Shaylyn Wade, Christian Sellers, Jaden, Irvin, and Ely Broussard; his sisters Cynitha Keasling and brother- in-law Floyd Keasling of Montgomery Texas; Linda Kay Carver of Austin, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews. Also, he is survived by his lifelong best friend Bobby Hyde and his wife Barbara Hyde of Montgomery, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents Oscar and Marjorie Giles and brothers Claude Giles, Bobby Giles, Billy Giles, Pete Giles and sisters Eloise Johnson, and Bertha Ann Sharp.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 8, 2017 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at McNutt Funeral Home, 1703 Porter Rd., Conroe, Texas 77301. The funeral service including military honors will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 11:00am.
