Obituary for Clyde Thomas Parrish

Clyde Thomas Parrish, Sr. passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 in Montgomery, Texas at the age of 94.
Clyde was born in New Waverly, Texas to Willie and Joe Parrish. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Betty Webb; brothers, Lewis Parrish, Ray Parrish and Jack Parrish. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Malu Parrish; daughter, Mary Martin (Docky); son, Clyde Parrish, Jr. (Susan); daughter, Patty Justice (Ed). Also surviving are his grandchildren, Kimberly Parrish-Sanders (Kevin), Jeff Martin (Crissy), Scott Martin (Jodi), and Rosalyn Frazier; and great grandchildren, Kevin Francis (Samantha), Adam Bienek-Parrish; Steven and Jase Martin; Reagan, Marlee and Finleigh Frazier; Gage, Kinlyn and Kase Mills and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Clyde was a WWII Army veteran and a printer by trade. He enjoyed his family, traveling, good friends, gardening, fishing and hunting. He spent many years coaching Little League baseball. He was a good, kind man who laughed easily and was always there for family and friends who needed a hand. Despite his short-term memory loss, he retained his strong Christian faith, his sense of humor and he greatly enjoyed visits by family and friends.
The family wishes to thank the caring staff at Silver Hills in Montgomery and VeraCare Hospice of the Woodlands for the kindness and care they showed Clyde.
A memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday, May 5th at the First United Methodist Church, 200 N. Thomason St., Willis, Tx. 77378.
