Obituary for GAYLA BETH REDDING

Gayla Beth Redding (Williamson), age 72 of Cleveland, TX passed away on Friday, April 28, 2017. She was born in Jacksonville, TX on October 16, 1944 to Walter Allen Williamson and Wilma Lee (Townley) Williamson. She graduated from Furr High School and attended Sam Houston State University. She later married Danny Redding and together they had 3 children. During her life she wore a hat of many colors when it came to her career, mainly an accountant and bookkeeper for a building contractor she also was a truck driver, school bus driver and assistant teacher. Gayla enjoyed reading, fishing, drinking coffee while visiting friends and family. She could listen to Elvis for hours along with George Strait and Garth Brooks. She loved to travel and was an avid collector of figurines and her favorite place was Las Vegas. Gayla was a lifelong supporter and donator to St. Jude’s and Shriners Children. She will be greatly missed but her stories and memories will live on with all those who knew her and still love her.


Gayla was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Wilma Williamson, her husband, Danny Redding and daughters, Danielle and Kristen Redding.


She is survived by her daughters, Misty Russell (Douglas) of Texas and Jessica Redding of Kentucky, her siblings, Jeffie Butler and K.M. Williamson, both of Texas, grandchildren: Aidan Russell, Fallon Russell, Kaylah Welch (Adam) all from Texas, Chelsea Jacobs of Illinois and Kyle Jacobs USMC, great granddaughters, Dani and Mariana.


Pallbearers will be: Douglas Russell, Adam Welch, Eric Blanco, Nicholas Gaunce, Christian Gaunce and Dennis Atchison.


The family will receive guests beginning at 11:00am for visitation on May 4, 2017 with a funeral starting at 12:00pm at McNutt Funeral Home located at 1703 Porter Rd, Conroe, TX 77301 with a burial to follow at San Jacinto Memorial Park Cemetery in Houston, TX.
