George Clifford Anderson, 83, of Willis, Texas, died on March 2, 2017. After graduating from Jefferson High School in San Antonio and University of Texas, he accepted a job with Shell Oil Co. as an engineer, where he worked for 36 years. After he retired, he co-owned the TLC Gift Shoppe and Galleries with his wife. He and his wife Maluan have been married for 64 years. George loved his family. Together they have 3 children, Laurie and her husband Juan De La Garza, Doug and his wife Marcia Anderson, and Jim and his wife Lee Ann Anderson. George and Maluan have 8 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
As a young man George was ambitious and ready to make his mark on the world. At 35, he had a life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ, refocusing his life’s passion from seeking self-promotion to the joy of daily following Jesus. He was well known for his keen wit, wisdom and generosity.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to North Shore Church or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
