Obituary for JIMMY WAYNE BRAY

Jimmy Wayne Bray, age 65, of Sublime, Texas, died suddenly on Saturday morning, May 13th 2017.
Born in Wichita Falls, Texas on July 24th 1951, he was the son of the late Jimmy W. Bray and Joyce Lyon; and was the grandson of the late Louis Lyon and Ova Lee "Maw" Whitehead.

Jimmy was a very driven, outgoing, social, and fun man. He was like a big brother to some and, as anyone would tell you, a friend to all.

From a young age, Jimmy’s driven personality showed through his passion for working hard every day, up to the day of his death. He was a jack of all trades, he could tell you how to solve any problem, fix anything that was broke, or build anything you needed but more importantly he was compassionate and loved his family.

Jimmy loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, to whom he was known as “Papa”, creating lasting memories. Jimmy enjoyed taking road trips (since he didn’t like to fly) and spending time with his family on his ranch. He loved his farm animals and taught his children and grandchildren to love them, as well.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Mary Kay (Lucas) Bray; daughter Kim Gardner and her husband David, son Keith Bray and his wife Darlene, and 5 grandchild Kristina, Amanda, Caitlyn, Abigail, and, his only grandson, Lucas; along with his niece Corrie Traxler and her children Parker, Milo and Violet.
A celebration of Jimmy’s life will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, May 20, 2017, at McNutt Funeral Home located at 1703 Porter Road, Conroe, Texas 77301.
