There are condolences waiting approval on JOHN's Tribute wall

John Milton Sutton, of Willis, was a beloved and devoted husband to his wife Shirley of 52 years. They loved one another deeply and never left each other’s side. Milton was a hard worker, employed as a supervisor for the seismograph crew for Chevron, and later as a well-known jailer for the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Jail Division.
He was a loving father to his two children Rick Sutton and Kimberly Franklin, and their spouses Kimberly Sutton and Melvin Franklin, and a loving papa to his grandchildren; Kayla Sutton-Munoz and husband Chris Munoz, Lauren Franklin, Rachael Sutton, Brandon Franklin, Brittney Franklin, Josiah Sutton and Brooke Franklin. A Godly, loving, funny and patient man, Milton loved to tell really dry, funny jokes, and making others laugh, he loved reading his Bible and talked about going to heaven often. He was a member of All Nations Worship Center in Conroe where he served as an usher. He passed on to his heavenly home with his Lord and Savior on Friday, March 16, 2018, surrounded by his wife and children, at the age of 77.
Milton was born in El Campo, Texas on December 31, 1940 and was one of five children. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the National Guard where he served for six years. He was preceded in death by his father Rodrick Sutton, his mother Sylvia Phillips, and his brother Eldon Sutton. He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren and two sisters, Doris Berglund, Marcelen Berglund and a brother Jim Phillips.
His life celebration will be Thursday, March 22, at 11 a.m. at McNutt Funeral Home, 1703 Porter Road, in Conroe, with a viewing planned Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m.
