Obituary for MONTGOMERY COE DECKER

MONTGOMERY COE (MONTY) DECKER JR was born in Houston, Texas on October 19, 1942 and died after a short illness on April 14, 2018 in Conroe, Texas. Survived by his wife, Lisa Decker; sons, Michael Decker, Montgomery Decker IV (Tammy), Kenny Rey, John Redford (Tami); daughters, Kelly Redford and Kristina Redford; grandchildren, Parker Redford, Ryland Rey, Keaton Placencia, and Kash Redford; his mother, Alice Holmes; a sister, Sharlett Everett and a brother, John Decker. Preceded in death by his father, Montgomery Coe Decker Sr., stepfather William B. Holmes, and numerous other relatives.

Monty enlisted in The U.S. Navy in 1959. He served aboard ship for 4 years. After leaving the Navy, Monty began his lifelong occupation of becoming an ASC certified auto mechanic eventually opening and owning his own shop for many years. He was passionate about Sprint Car Racing with his sons and a good friend, AJ Weaver.

He gladly offered his help to many that needed it. Monty will surely be remembered and missed by all who knew him.

There will be a Celebration of Life memorial and barbecue held on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Monty's home located at 3947 Butler Rd. in Conroe, TX 77301 from 11am-3pm.
