Obituary for Margaret Luikens Moers

Margaret (Peggy) Luikens Moers, 61 of Conroe, Texas, passed from this life on Sunday, September 17, 2017, in Conroe, Texas. Peggy was born April 20, 1956 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Robert and Mary Louise Luikens. She attended Ottowa Hills High School and relocated to Houston, Texas around 1975. Peggy is survived by her beloved daughter Sarah (husband John and son Ryan of Conroe, TX); son Donnie (grandson Cooper)--of Houston, TX; her mother Mary Louise (Phoenix, AZ); six brothers and sisters, Jim (Hudsonville, MI), Tom (wife Mary Catherine--of Glendale, AZ), Pat (Green Valley, AZ), Mary Clare (Scottsdale, AZ), Catherine (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA), and Theresa (husband David--of Henderson, NV); stepdaughter Judy (husband Jimmy—of Palm Harbor, FL); four step-grandchildren, five nieces and nephews, and four great-nieces/nephews. She is also missed by her pet companions of many years Harley and Blue.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Donald Moers. She was a long-time employee at Aztec Rental in Houston, TX. Peggy was known for her never-failing generosity to others, her dedication to her work, and her amazing cooking and baking skills. People loved Peggy’s famous pecan and lemon meringue pies, cinnamon rolls, her Christmas cookie platters, chocolate chip cookies for her co-workers, and a Thanksgiving turkey dinner beyond compare. Peggy will be greatly missed by all of her family, friends, and co-workers and will be remembered often with love and affection.
