Obituary for VIRGINIA NELL CALDWELL

Virginia Nell Brookshire Caldwell, daughter of Grady and Dossie Brookshire was born on January 5th, 1937 in Lufkin, Tx. Virginia passed on June 5, 2018 peacefully at home in Grangerland, Tx.
Preceded in death by her mother, father, brother Grady Brookshire, sister Jackie Gardner, husband of heavenly 50 years to Clifford J. Caldwell, and son Clayton Brookshire.
She is survived by her sister Jerry Williams and husband Marion and sister in law Pat Brookshire. Surviving daughters are Kelly Berry and husband Kyle; their children Dusty Berry and wife Megan, Cierra Berry and fiance' Jonathan Oldner, and their grandchildren Kennedy and Trevor. Daughter Virginia Rodriguez and her daughter Pearl, and great-granddaughters, Hailey and Ashlyn Morgan. Virginia's surviving sons are Douglas Brookshire and daughters, Brandy Davis and children, Koen Young, William Young, and Destiny Memmel; Susan Yates and children, Dawson Yates and Danica Yates. Ricky Harp and wife Sandra; their 3 children, 13 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Bobby Gilbert, Chris Gilbert and wife Linda; their 2 daughters Melissa Maddoxx, Tanya Phillips and husband AJ, their granddaughter Athena, and grandson DJ Gilbert.
Virginia was a lifetime residence of Montgomery County. She graduated from Conroe High and attended nursing school in Cleveland, Texas. In October of 1968 Virginia graduated with her registered nurse's degree. She worked in nursing homes for over 35 years being a care giver to the elderly, she retired in 1998 of a long, happy career.
Virginia's hobbies were attending "The Spanish Trail" annual kick-off ride and week long Houston ride. For 38 years Virginia enjoyed sharing this passion with her husband Clifford. Everybody enjoyed seeing Virginia being able to make every ride whether she had her team or rode in the truck.
Virginia also known to most people as "FatGranny" will be dearly missed, but she was able to join Clifford on their 50th wedding anniversary.
