Obituary for Delores Faye Wigley

DELORES FAYE WIGLEY
October 24, 1937 - October 16, 2018
Born, Delores “Faye” Denman, to Jesse James Denman and Ora Jewel Byrd October 24, 1937 in Houston , Texas and passed into life eternal on October 16, 2018 in Conroe, Texas surrounded by her loving family.
Faye was the 10th and final child born. She has 2 brothers, Robert and Harold (Rocky) and 4 sisters, Nell, Hazel, LaVerne and Ruth and 3 siblings dying in childbirth or infancy.
When her parents, Ruth and she moved to Tarkington Prairie she met a young man home from Southwestern A//G High School in church one Sunday morning. She was 14 and he, Charles Warren Wigley, was 16. They were married March 6, 1954 at the ages of 16 and 18 and you never heard one name without the other.
Married 63 years they produced a daughter, Gwendolyn Faye and son, Charles (Charlie) Warren, Jr. The family grew when Gwen married Sidney Woods of Conroe and Charlie married Belinda Mason of Conroe. Again and again the family grew. Grandsons Jonathan and wife Amber and great granddaughters Briana and Londyn of Silsbee; Jarrod and wife Savannah and great granddaughter Charis of McKinney; Joey and wife Michelle and great grandsons Reid and Hunt of Palestine; and granddaughter Amber of Houston.
Charles and Faye pastored their first church at the ages of 18 and 16 having to get special permission from the General Headquarters of the Assemblies of God due to the fact Charles was still in high school. They continued in full time pastoral ministry in Texas and Georgia until retiring around 2010.
Faye began doing tax returns in 1979 specializing in ministers taxes while they pastored in Athens, Tx. She continued that home business after moving to Conroe and eventually bought a Jackson Hewitt Tax Service franchise 21 years ago. Each year she expanded her territories to Huntsville, Porter, Montgomery, and Livingston. She managed to wrangle, beg and bribe as many family members as she could to come work for her in those early years. In 2006 Belinda began training and eventually took over the management of the business.
Faye loved to paint beautiful landscapes, florals and children who look a lot like her grandchildren. Many of the family and her friends received her paintings as gifts through the years. She loved music, teaching her Sunday School class and entertaining. But most of all she loved her family, church family and their personal "very dear friends," of whom they had too many to count because they didn't have any enemies.
Faye was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers and sisters, parents-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law. She is survived by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, sister-in-law Mae Denman and sister-in-law Ann Lewis, and numerous nieces and nephews
2 Corinthians 4:16-18 So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal
