Obituary for James "Mike" Allen

The man. The myth. The legend. Men wanted to be him, and women wanted to be with him. James Michael Allen, known to friends as “Mike,” passed away on December 19, 2018, at the age of 67 years. Mike was born in Navasota, Texas on September 15, 1951. He graduated from Conroe high school in 1970. Mike was a master plumber and owned his own company since 1982. Mike loved fried chicken and mashed potatoes smothered in gravy, the hottest salsa and coldest dark beer in town, twisting a wrench under the hood of his truck, ZZ Top and fast cars. Not necessarily in that order. He hated country music and hypocrites. Not necessarily in that order. He was also pretty good at growing a garden and making a mean pot of hot chili. Mike loved to tell stories, and you could be sure that 50% of that story was true. Mike loved to make people laugh and smile, he will be missed.

The memorial will be held at 2:00 PM on January 5, 2018, at McNutt funeral home. Address: 1703 Porter Road, Conroe Tx 77301 “FM 1314”

Mike is preceded in death by his mom and dad, JT Allen and Nancy Allen.

Mike is survived by his wife of 38 years, Pat Allen, his brothers Patrick Allen and wife Donnalee, Bobby Allen and wife Janie, nieces Kim Allen Crow, Jazmine Allen, Chelsea Allen Myers, Hannah Allen, great nephew and nieces, Jaren, Kensley, McKenna.
