Obituary for Terri-Louise Frnka

Terri-Louise Haugen Frnka (1979-2018) of Cypress, Texas has passed away on September 10, 2018 after a 2+ year battle with breast cancer.

Terri-Louise was born on Feburary 21, 1979 in Edson, Alberta, Canada. She and her family migrated to Gonzales, Tx in 1988, and graduated from Alvin High School in 1998. In February 2010 she met Nicholas John Frnka of Willis, Texas, and the two were married at the Texas Renaissance Festival in October 2013. In September 2015 the couple’s daughter, Mackenzie Rayne Frnka, was born. In the summer of 2016, Terri-Louise was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma stage 3B. She immediately formed a Facebook page of “FightMamaFight” to raise awareness of the misconceptions of breast cancer as she felt that many of the things told about the subject were either incorrect or misinformed. She beat cancer, but it returned at the beginning of 2018 as stage 4 “Triple Negative Metaplastic Spindlecell Carcinoma”, which was much more aggressive. She did what she could to spread the word and became an inspiration to those that knew her. She enjoyed making chainmaille jewelry, playing several video games included at one time world ranked #10 at Assassins Creed.

She was preceded in death by her father, Morgan Haugen, grandparents Melvin & Teresa Haugen and Lois & Daniel Switzer, and step daughter Cheyenne Nicolette Frnka. She is survived by her loving husband Nicholas John Frnka, daughter Mackenzie Rayne Frnka, mother Corrine Haugen, sisters Renate Haugen Mache & Nicole Haugen, brother Bryon Haugen, parents in-law John & Gayle Frnka, sisters-in-law Traci Denton-Hobbins & Jana Jones, nieces Kylee, Rilee; and many other family members, friends, and fellow cancer warriors.

She was strong, warm, loving, and will be dearly missed. Her decree of “Feel It On The First” will be remembered and carried on as she reminded people women and men alike to the catch the onset signs of cancer. Fly on, Terri-Louise. There is no more pain where you are. You are greatly loved by all that knew you.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 4:00 pm at McNutt Funeral Home, 1703 Porter Rd., Conroe, Texas 77301.
