There are condolences waiting approval on SUZANNE's Tribute wall

July 5, 1947 – January 22, 2018

After many years of serious health problems and chronic pain, our Suzie passed away peacefully in the hospital with family at her side.
Suzie was born in San Antonio Texas and lived with her family in Venezuela, Kansas, Louisiana and Texas. A ’65 graduate of Lafayette (LA) High School, she became a licensed vocational nurse, and eventually obtained her license as a long-term care administrator. Until forced to retire due to ill health, she was an administrator at various nursing homes in Houston, and impacted the lives of all she encountered.
Suzie will be remembered for her outspokenness, her oftentimes irreverent sense of humor, her heart for animals, her fiercely independent and determined will, her love of America, her fierce devotion and loyalty to family and friends, and for her generous and giving spirit. Suzie was confident of her ultimate home in Heaven and wanted no sadness for those she leaves behind.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Jeanette Weiss, and brother Mark Weiss. She is survived by her life partner of 28 years, Sue Morgan; sister Shirley (Weiss) Peters and her husband Stephen; nieces, nephew, and great niece and nephews: Sabrina Rourke, Katy Weiss, Sarah Peters, and Byron Weiss, and Kyler, Kat, David and Jax, and numerous cousins. Among the many, many special friends too numerous to mention are Tracy Morgan, Marti Raney, Sheila Steward, Mike Rogers, Nancy Wood, Peggy Thomas, Cathy Haynes, Lee Hartman, John Steiger, and Maggie, Cowboy, Maddie, and Spirit. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Grand Central Church building fund: (Please specify "building fund").
“This is my command – be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” -Joshua 1:9
