There are condolences waiting approval on PETER's Tribute wall

Peter Klaus Valdiviez passed away on April 10, 2018, in Conroe TX after a long battle with Parkinsons Disease. Peter is survived by: his son Scott & Scott's wife & son, Melissa & Austin in Conroe; & his brothers Ronald (KS), Richard (MO), & Robert (NM). He was predeceased by his father Cuahtemoc ("Copi"), mother Bogdana ("Ann"), & sister Reina. Peter was born on February 9, 1945, in Neustadt (currently called Prudnik), Poland that once may have been part of Germany. Ann was widowed, so she & Peter became WW2 refugees; after much trial she found refuge in the American sector of Germany in 1945 where Ann later met & married Copi, who adopted Peter as one of his own. Peter wandered the USA & the world following his father's US Air Force career & enlisted in the Air Force himself in 1965. In the years thereafter he primarily lived in Austin TX, Rio Rancho NM, Council Bluffs IA, & Conroe TX. He worked in a number of office jobs from retail store credit manager to supervisor at call centers, but his passions from childhood thru adulthood were creating art (sketches, paintings, sculpture), playing/coaching youth baseball & adult softball, & competing at chess with his brother Bob. His calm, quiet, & friendly demeanor will be deeply missed by family & friends alike, but one can have joy in the knowledge that having accepted Jesus as his personal Lord & Savior many years ago, Peter today rests in the arms of our Christ. The family wants to thank Lisa, John, & Melody Horace and Danny for the compassion they gave to Peter in his final months in hospice care. Cremation has already taken place, the family members will have private memorial services in Peter's honor.
