Roger David Weekly was born on July 29,1946. He was born in South Charleston West Virginia to Twila Mae Bobbitt-Weekly and Carl Clifton Weekly Sr. He is survived by two siblings, April Jean Weekly and Carl Clifton Weekly Jr. He was serving in the United States army from 1965-1967 in West Germany where he met his wife Marieluise Heinrich-Weekly who later traveled to Lancaster Ohio in 1968 with their first born child Caroline Daniela Weekly. They briefly moved to Pascagoula Mississippi and later moved to Texas and settled in Texas City, Texas. He later had two other children, Jeffrey Johann Weekly and Heidi Michelle Weekly. He and his wife Marieluise Weekly moved to Montgomery Texas in 2012. He enjoyed sitting in the garage and observing the neighborhood. He loved watching westerns. His favorite saying was “I’m not going to a beauty contest.” He loved gardening, fishing, and hunting with his grandson Ethan James Yates. He and Ethan would talk about their gardens and swap vegetables. He and Ethan picked weeds together and just loved spending time together. He also loved to go hunting and fishing with his son Jeffrey Johann Weekly and grandson Joshua David Weekly. He died at the age of 71 on November 20, 2017 at 10PM at home on Hospice care after a long fight with Gastric Cancer surrounded by his family. He is survived by three children, Caroline Daniela Weekly age 49, Jeffrey Johann Weekly age 42, and Heidi Michelle Yates age 34. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Joshua David Weekly age 18, Ethan James Yates age 9, and Madilyn Grace Weekly age 7. He is survived by his wife Marieluise Weekly of 49 years, age 69. Last but not least, he is also survived by William Lewis Weekly age 79 who was like a brother to him as well as all other living relatives. He will be missed dearly and is now our guardian angel looking down on us from Heaven. We will hold you close to our hearts until we can hold you in our arms in Heaven.
